The Role:
The role of the Drilling Engineer is to ensure well development requirements are identified and documented, to liaise with key stakeholders; and to drive the development of plans and execution assurances.
Duties of the Drilling Engineer will include:
• Performing detailed drilling engineering and well planning
• Leading stakeholders and Joint Venture Partners with well development plans and execution assurance
• Identifying, procuring, qualifying equipment and materials for the Drilling program
• Post FID – Liaising with the Drilling Superintendent, Completions Engineer and other Business partners to facilitate the resolution of technical issues
• Monitoring Change Management and reporting the execution drilling costs
• Liaising with Drilling Services Contract Owners and the Subsurface Team to ensure objectives and contract obligations are identified and documented
• Preparing detailed time and cost estimates
• Participating in Peer review and approvals of Well Basis of Design (BoD)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
It is envisioned that the successful candidate will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline (Honours Degree or greater preferred)
• 10+years Drilling Engineering experience
• North West Shelf and/or Drilling Operations Supervisor experience preferred
